At the risk of sounding trite, this is one cute photo. He looks like he just finished playing and was told to stand still. The difference between his head and his hands is like an optical illusion. It becomes very 3D the more I look at it.

I want to know how you do this! I've noticed on several of you pictures that some parts are so clear & that slight "soft focus" in other areas. I believe I noticed it on the Ericksons. The eyes were clear, neck soft, necklace clear, blouse soft and how are you achieving that?

I normally get one item in sharp focus & around it softer. Never quite like you do. I like it though.
