It's not a terribly clear night here in New York City, but I wanted to show everyone what I'm looking at out my window.  Hope you are too.

and that's the same moon i was looking at here in sydney last night. nice composition b. :)

It was pretty fun watching this.

I'm such a dummy, I don't think we had an eclipse, but we did have a full moon!

this is a great shot. All I had was a digital camera - it made me long for my old college days when I at least had SOMETHING to zoom on my AV-1.

and the same moon i was looking at in Poland last night..

I am so jealous. It was nothing but snow and clouds up here in Rochester. Nice shot!

it's my understanding you won't be able to get this shot again until 2012 or something. Phew! Cross this one off the list ;)

I wanted to make a joke about Bifidus and Regulus and Yogurt but I think somehow Mel Brooks beat me to it. may the schwartz be with you

I took the same picture. I will post it online soon so you can see it. Mine came out that orangey too, but wow, what a view, huh?

Thought the composited image on Astronomy pic of the day was interesting: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html.

I didn't know it was going on until the next day. I love looking up at a night sky but my only digital camera cannot capture it. It's just a little Kodak DX7540. (takes some great shots but not zoom ones) This is gorgeous.

Thanks so much for capturing it. It's truly beautiful. I want a picture of the full moon in a light blue sky. The early morning hours when it has not realized the sun has arrived and it's time to fade away. I want to capture that one day.
