I'm photographer and Brooklynite Bill Wadman, evil-genius responsible for 365portraits.com, a series of portraits I completed at the end of 2007. My subjects have included Buzz Aldrin, Imogen Heap, Tucker Carlson, Jhumpa Lahiri, James Burke, Mo Rocca, and maybe, you.
I shoot portraits professionally, though I experiment in other styles when the mood hits me. I've shot all over the world and my work has been featured in Time, Improper Bostonian, The Observer, Times of London, and others. Want to see more? Visit my online portfolio. If you'd like to commission me to work on your next project or personal portrait, Email me.
I really like the treatment of these! These shots remind me of those old magazine ads from the late 70s or early 80s. Kind of has that "After School Special" feel about her. It's a fantastic thing you do when you can evoke nostalgia like that. Great job!
I like these two Bill. How did you get this effect, especially with the first one? What were these two taken with? The pictures are great but if it's a blog about taking pictures then let us have some insight!
Gutted to have missed out on 365 Portraits, if you come to the UK again let us know...
I found your site thanks to a Geezeo user who added "Buy a Bill Wadman print" as a financial goal. Now I can see why!!
Great stuff. I've enjoyed looking through your portfolio. Can't remember the last time I've seen photography that captures the essence of a person and place together so nicely.
Nathan-
The first shot was shot on Polaroid 79 on a large format 4x5 and then scanned. The second is Canon digital.
Who is this girl next door? I like her robot name.
I like the processing on the first one...
Incredibly beautiful - the photo's not bad either
