These are gorgeous! Kudos to both of you. Twanna, I get the "he makes me look more beautiful than I feel" (which to me is one of the points of posing for photos like these, in a good way, cause photographers imo can see things we can't) but I have to tell you, you ARE beautiful. Here and everyday. Not sure which one's my favorite, but I think the 2nd one.

These are terrific! Bill, you captured Twanna in a way that makes her seem vulnerable, and also determined at the same time -- there's a lot of contrasting emotion here, but it's really subdued & quiet. As always, great job, Bill, but also a great job by Twanna -- it's terrific to see a subject let herself be photographed so honestly.

The third one... the DOF and the weird disproportions that result from where you took it from make this photo so damn good and interesting. Seriously, this is just beautiful. Plus, Twanna has some gorgeous eyes, indeed. I love it.

I don't like #3. I think it's because she's wearing so little and you make her look so vulnerable. It makes me uncomfortable. She looks too young to be photographed in this manner. (I know, she's probably 25! haha!)

Just being honest, I am a fan of your photography and love the first 2 shots.

Oh I love the yellow dress. It's very Old Hollywood; it reminds me of something that Dorothy Dandridge would wear.

First of all, BIG DRIPPY KISSES TO BILL!!! I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful photographer / person to spend the night with -- taking photos, of course. :)

Now, even though this isn't my blog, quick shout out / thanks to folks who left comments ...

@ Rachel Kramer Bussel: Oh, sweetie, THANK YOU. And, it goes without saying that you're beautiful, too. :)

@ nuno: Vulnerable and determined. You're spot on; that pretty much sums up my career and love life. :)

@ Ela: Thanks for the nice comment about my eyes.

@ Carlyq80: WOW!!! Thanks for that "she looks too young to be photographed in this manner." I'm 33. (Same age as Bill, I think.) Shhh! It's just our secret. ;)

@ Nichelle: Thanks for the kudos on the yellow dress. And, you're on to something about the Old Hollywood / Dorothy Dandridge connection. When I saw it, the first word that came to mind was "timeless." So I knew I had to buy it.

Bill the first shot of Twanna at the top is marvelous! The proximity of the shot gives one a sense of intimacy, yet there is an underlying
tension drawn by Twanna's powerful visage. Great Work!
