Great stuff. Looks very much like an August Sander portrait. Excellent work.

wow, this is really lovely. I like the subtleties of the warm tones, the intense look, the self-conscious and protective way your hands are holding your coat. it looks old - like it could've been shot decades ago.

Great photo... looks like a very old portrait. You don't look like yourself... well, not the one I remember, I guess.

Hey I took some new photos on my trip to Bryce Canyon... would you have a moment to comment? I pasted URL above. Thanks :)

forgive me if I'm being overpresumptuous, but it looks like you used a local contrast sharpening technique (whether it be the clarity thing in lightroom, or the usm radius 40 thing), and if that is the case, it looks like it did the inversion halo thing around you. (dark border on your face side, and light border on your hair side). My preference is to mask that out, and maybe you leave it intentionally, but on account of how long it took me to realize it was happening, I figured I'd let you know, just in case. At any rate, I love the pose and the lighting. Very classic.

finally! it's been a long time since you published one of these. Very well done.

Heeeey, you cut your hair! I notice these things. :)

GREAT photo. I love the way the light dances off of the warm, classic, sexy hues in the chocolate brown coat.

I wish you had something blue.

kidding.

not for nuthin' but you are a handsome feller there, Mr. Wadman.

and what are you hiding in your coat?

your eyes are blue.

Great shot I would love to see a how to on self portraits. I am in a 365daysgroup on flickr. Getting a good shot is hard enough when you can look through the viewfinder and really hard when you are also the subject.
