A couple of months ago I got an email from an old professor of mine at Berklee.  Apparently he saw some of the photos I took of Jhumpa Lahiri in the Improper Bostonian and so looked me up.

Anyway, I was in Boston last week with my friend Jonathan who was visiting from LA and so we stopped in to say hello to some of our ex-teacher friends.  Rob is now the chair of the dept though, so he got a portrait taken.  ;-)

By the way, I ended up bringing my 5D instead of the 1DsIII.  While I love the images it gives, the weight is killing me when traveling.  I can't wait to get my 5DII when they ship.  I've already got my pre-order in at onecall.

Below is a quick portrait I shot of Rob while I was there.

Heh. "Quick portrait". Were you not so awesome, I'd hate you for being this...awesome.

For a quick portrait, this is fantastic!
A lot of brilliant color that seem to all work well together here
