Today I began my new project tentatively titled: Laid-Off
I'll be shooting a series of diptychs of people in New York City in their own homes, who have lost their jobs and not yet found new ones. One shot in their work clothes, the other casual, in the same setting.
If anyone out there has ideas for potential subjects, maybe friends or family who have lost their jobs, please let them know. If they're interested in volunteering, have them email me with their story and a photo.
Now that that's out of the way, here's the first set of the lovely and delightful Lucy Tart.

Oh Bill, this is such a wonderful project.
I've looked back at those forlorn pictures of David (March) and the related Sad Press (Feb) and, for me at least, the huge impact of those pictures is almost entirely because of the attached story. You've asked potential subjects to email you their story, so wouldn't it be possible to include some details with these pictures. IMHO, that would elevate this project into something really special.
I think the photos speak for themselves...the title of the post is sufficient. It is amazing the different levels of confidence each photo shows.
I agree with Diane. Can't wait to see how this project turns out!
Bill, this is a great project. Good luck. R
