This one was tough and really time consuming. The most "set up" of them so far. A fair amount of pre-production and a whole lot of post. Who knew it would be so hard to find one of those clear umbrellas in NYC? <falls asleep typing>
Here's a scan of my portrait of the delightful fashion designer Eric Gaskins from last weeks Improper Bostonian. Below is another shot from the sitting that I liked a lot.
For those interested in the lighting setup... two speedlights, one behind the car into an umbrella to spread it out. The other bare and on the dashboard of the car with it's beam focused down a bit. 35mm lens.
